Rate set configuration manages rate sets and unit prices for resource types. Configured rates help produce accurate user bill information on the cloud management platform.

Rate sources:

Public cloud resource rates are set by each vendor;

On-premises IDC and private cloud resource rates must be specified by admins.

Note

The system includes a built-in rate set named “default” that cannot be deleted. Clone a rate set to create a custom one, then bind it to domains, projects, or organization structures.

Entry: In the cloud management platform, click the navigation menu in the upper left, then click “Cost & Optimization / Billing / Advanced Settings / Rate Set Configuration” in the left menu to open Rate Set Configuration.

The default rate set has an empty source; cloned rate sets show their source rate set.

Clone a rate set

Clone a new rate set from an existing one.

Note

In a cloned rate set, rates for each resource type default to the source rate set. If you change a resource type rate in the source, clones based on that source update as well. After you “Customize rate” for a resource type in a child rate set, that type’s source becomes the current rate set and is no longer affected by the previous source.
