&lt;p&gt;A VM is a virtual machine instance built with virtualization technology and running on a host, including a full virtual hardware environment such as CPU, memory, OS, disks, and NICs.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;VM sources&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;After the cloud management platform connects to other cloud accounts, VMs on those platforms are synced automatically for management on the cloud management platform.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Create VMs.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Entry&lt;/strong&gt;: Left menu → Resource Management / Compute / Instances / VMs&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The upper right of the list shows the total VM count and counts for running, stopped, operation failed, and unknown states.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In Project view, users cannot see domain-resource list fields. For example, in Project view users cannot see the host or cloud account of a VM.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Click the “Operation logs” tab.

&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Load more&lt;/strong&gt;: 20 logs by default; click “Load more” for more&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Time filter&lt;/strong&gt;: set start/end dates to query a time range&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Baremetal is a compute instance that exclusively uses one physical machine. Unlike VMs that share a host, baremetal runs directly on the physical machine and fits scenarios that need performance isolation or hardware passthrough.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Baremetal sources&lt;/strong&gt;:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Create baremetal on the cloud management platform from managed physical machines.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sync baremetal instances after connecting cloud accounts.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Entry&lt;/strong&gt;: On the cloud management platform, click the &lt;img src="/docs/en/docs/web_ui/images/intro/nav.png" alt=""&gt; navigation menu in the upper left, then in the left sidebar click &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;Resource Management / Compute / Instances / Baremetal&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; to open the Baremetal page.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h2 id="create-baremetal"&gt;Create baremetal&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Create a baremetal instance in the local IDC.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;On the Baremetal page, click the &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;Create&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; button to open the create baremetal wizard.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Configure project, region, name, image, network, disks, and related parameters. Images can be VM images or ISOs from system images.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Confirm the configuration and click &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;OK&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;. The platform deploys baremetal on the specified physical machine.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;h2 id="remote-control"&gt;Remote control&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Log in to baremetal via SOL, JNLP, or SSH.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;On the Baremetal page, click the &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;Remote control&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; button in the Actions column.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Choose SOL, JNLP, or SSH based on your network.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;h2 id="instance-state"&gt;Instance state&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Supports power on, power off, restart, and related power operations. Click &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;More&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; in the Actions column, then choose the corresponding action under &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;&amp;ldquo;Instance state&amp;rdquo;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
