Groups

A group is a collection of users of a class.

A group is a collection of users. Support creating and managing groups under a domain.

  • Synchronizes group information on LDAP authentication sources.
  • Create groups based on domains, if groups created in LDAP synchronized domains will be stored in the local database and will not change the LDAP server.

Entry: In the cloud management platform click on the top left corner navigation menu, and click “IAM & Security/IAM/Groups” menu item in the left menu bar that pops up to enter the Groups page.

Create groupa

This function is used to create a new group.

  1. In the group page, click “Create” button at the top of the list to bring up the Create Group dialog box.
  2. Set the group name, domain, and note information, and click the “OK” button.

Manage Projects

This function is used to manage the projects joined by the group, support adding and removing projects and modifying the group’s role in the project, etc.

Join Project

This function is used to add users in the group to the project in batch.

  1. On the group page, click the “Manage Projects” button on the right action bar of the group to enter the Details - Projects in Group page.
  2. Click the “Join Project” button at the top of the list to bring up the Join Project dialog box.
  3. Select the domain, project, role, and click “OK” button, and all users in the group will join the project with that role.

Modify Role

This function is used to modify the role of users in the group in the project.

  1. On the group page, click the “Manage Projects” button on the right action bar of the group to enter the Details - Projects in Group page.
  2. Click the “Modify Role” button on the right action bar of the project to bring up the Modify Role dialog box.
  3. After modifying the role, click the “OK” button to complete the operation.

Remove Project

This function is used to move groups out of the project.

Individual Removal

  1. On the group page, click the “Manage Projects” button on the right action bar of the group to enter the Details - Projects in Group page.
  2. Click the “Remove” button on the right action bar of the item to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
  3. Click the “OK” button to move the group out of the project.

Batch Remove

  1. On the group page, click the “Manage Projects” button on the right action bar of the group to enter the Details - Projects in Group page.
  2. Select one or more items in the list, and click the “Remove” button at the top of the list to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
  3. Click the “OK” button to move the group out of the project.

Manage Users

This function is used to manage the users in the group, and supports adding and removing users.

Adding Users

  1. On the group page, click the “Manage Users” button on the right action bar of the group to enter the Details - Users in Group page.
  2. Click the “Add User” button at the top of the list to bring up the Add User dialog box.
  3. Select the user and click the “OK” button.

Remove User

This function is used to remove a user from the group.

Remove

  1. On the group page, click the “Manage Users” button in the action bar to the right of the group to enter the Details - Users in Group page.
  2. Click the “Remove” button in the action bar on the right side of the user to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
  3. Click the “OK” button to move the user out of the group.

Batch Removal

  1. On the Group page, click the “Manage Users” button on the right action bar of the group to enter the Details - Users in Group page.
  2. Select one or more users in the list, and click the “Remove” button at the top of the list to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
  3. Click the “OK” button to move the user out of the group.

Delete Group

This function is used to delete groups. Groups synchronized from LDAP server do not support deletion. When the group is deleted, all users in the group will exit the items that the group joined before.

Individual Deletion.

  1. On the group page, click the “Delete” button on the right action bar of the group to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
  2. Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.

Batch delete

  1. Select one or more groups in the group list, and click the “Delete” button at the top of the list to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box.
  2. Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.

View Group Details

This function is used to view the details of a group.

  1. On the group page, click the group name item to enter the group details page.
  2. The top menu item of the details page supports the group management operations.
  3. View the group Cloud ID, ID, name, status, domain, project, number of members in the group, created at, updated at, and description.

View operation log

This function is used to view the log information of group-related operations.

  1. On the Group Details page, click the Operation Log tab to enter the Operation Log page.
    • Load more logs: In the Operation Log page, the list shows 20 operation logs by default. If you want to view more operation logs, please click the “Load more” button to get more logs.
    • View Log Details: Click the “View” button on the right column of the operation log to view the log details. Copy details are supported.
    • View logs of specified time period: If you want to view the operation logs of a certain time period, set the specific date in the start date and end date at the top right of the list to query the log information of the specified time period.
    • Export logs: Currently, only the logs displayed on this page are supported to be exported. Click the upper-right corner of icon, set the export data column in the pop-up export data dialog, and click the “OK” button to export the logs.
