Configuration
Configuration is a combination of CPU and memory for servers, you can choose different Configuration to create servers for different application scenarios.
Sources of Configuration
-
On-premise Configuration: After the platform is deployed, common On-premise Configuration will be built-in for servers on OneCloud platform and private cloud platform. Subsequently, users can customize and add Configuration or sync other Configuration to the On-premise list on the private cloud platform.
Description
Rules for syncing Configuration with OneCloud Configuration on the private cloud platform.
Only one copy of the same specification Configuration exists in the OneCloud Configuration list. When the OneCloud platform is docked to the private cloud platform, the Configuration are synchronized as follows.
- From the private cloud to the
OneCloud
platform.
- If the Configuration specification on the private cloud platform is different from the Configuration specification already on the OneCloud platform, it will synchronize the Configuration from the private cloud platform to the OneCloud platform.
- If the Configuration specification on the private cloud platform is the same as the existing Configuration specification on the {<oem_name>}} platform, no action will be taken.
- From the
OneCloud
platform to the private cloud platform.
- If the Configuration specification selected by the user when creating a private cloud platform on the OneCloud platform does not exist on the private cloud platform, the Configuration with that specification will be created on the private cloud platform synchronously.
- The Configuration specification selected by the user when creating a private cloud platform on OneCloud platform exists on the private cloud platform and no action is taken.
- From the private cloud to the
OneCloud
platform.
-
Public cloud Configuration: After adding a public cloud cloud account on the cloud management platform, it will pull the server Configuration of the public cloud platform to the cloud management platform, and when all public cloud accounts of the same platform are deleted on the cloud management platform, the public cloud Configuration of that platform will also be deleted.
Entry: In the Cloud Management Platform click on the top left corner navigation menu, and click “Compute/Configuration/Configuration” menu item in the left menu bar that pops up to enter the Configuration page.
Create Configuration
This function is used to create Configuration for On-premise based on the CPU and memory specifications of the server for use by servers on On-premise platforms ( OneCloud , VMware), private cloud platforms (ZStack, DStack, OpenStack). The new Configuration name starts with esc.g1, c stands for CPU cores and m stands for memory capacity, e.g. esc.g1.c1m1, which means 1 CPU core and 1G memory.
- On the Configuration page, click the “Create” button at the top of the list to bring up the Create dialog box.
- Set the number of virtual CPU cores and virtual memory capacity, and click the “OK” button.
Refresh Configuration
This function is used to update the public cloud Configuration. By default, the public cloud Configuration is updated once a day.
- On the Configuration page, click the “Public Cloud” tab, click the “Refresh Configuration” button at the top of the list to bring up the Refresh Configuration dialog box.
- Select the platform you want to update the Configuration, and click the “OK” button.
Clone
This function is used to quickly create other configured Configuration based on the current Configuration configuration.
Note
- Cloning is not supported for Configuration with disabled status.
- Cloning is not supported for public cloud Configuration.
- On the Configuration page, click the “Clone” button on the right column of the Configuration to bring up the Clone dialog box.
- Adjust the number of virtual CPU cores or virtual memory capacity, and click the “OK” button to create a new Configuration.
Enable
This function is used to enable the Configuration with “disabled” status. The Configuration with “disabled” status are not available when creating a new server, and need to be enabled after the operation. This function supports single enable or batch enable Configuration.
Individual Enablement
- On the Configuration page, click the “More” button n the right column of the “Disabled” configuration, select the drop-down menu “Enable” menu to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box.
- Click the “OK” button to enable the Configuration.
Batch Enable
- Select one or more “disabled” Configuration in the Configuration list, click the**_“Batch Action”_** button at the top of the list, and select the **_“Enable”_** menu item in the drop-down menu to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box.
- Click “OK” button to enable the Configuration.
Disable
This function is used to disable the Configuration with “Enable” status. This function is used to enable the Configuration in “disabled” status. This function can be used to disable a Configuration in “disabled” status.
Disable
- On the Configuration page, click the “More” button on the right column of the “Enabled” Configuration, select the drop-down menu “Disable” menu to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
- Click the “OK” button to disable the Configuration.
Batch Disable
- Select one or more “enabled” Configuration in the Configuration list, click the “Batch Action” button at the top of the list, and select the “Disable” menu item to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box. Click the “OK” button to disable the Configuration.
Setup Sell Status
This function is used to set the sales status of the configuration, mainly for solving the problem that when the public cloud configuration is available due to the OneCloud platform not synchronizing the configuration in time, but the platform configuration is not available, you can manually change the sales status of the configuration to make it available.
Setup Sell Status
- On the configuration page, click the “More” button on the right operation column of the configuration, select the drop-down menu “Set Sales Status” menu item, and the Set Consumption Status dialog box pops up.
- Set the status of the configurations in prepaid and postpaid scenarios as available or sold out respectively, and click the “OK” button to complete the operation after the settings are finished.
Batch Set Sell Status
- Select one or more configurations in the configuration list, click the “Batch Action” button at the top of the list, and select the drop-down menu “Set Sales Status” menu item to bring up the Set Consumption Status dialog box.
- Set the status of the configurations in prepaid and postpaid scenarios as available or sold out respectively, and click “OK” button after the setting is completed to finish the operation.
Delete
This function is used to delete the Configuration information. Deletion is available only when the Configuration is not associated with a server.
Note
- Public cloud Configuration are not supported to be deleted through the delete operation. If you want to delete a public cloud Configuration, you need to delete the cloud account managed by the cloud management platform first.
Delete
- On the Configuration page, click the “More” button on the right operation column of the configuration, select the drop-down menu “Delete” menu to bring up the operation confirmation dialog.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
