Cron Jobs
Timed task means to perform the specified action on the associated resource at the specified time point. Currently, it only supports timed on/off and reboot operations for servers.
Entry: In the cloud management platform, click the top left corner of navigation menu, and click “Monitor/Tools/Cron Jobs” menu item in the left menu bar that pops up to enter the Cron Jobss page.
Create Cron Jobs
This function is used to create a Cron Jobs.
- In the Cron Jobs page, click the “Create” button at the top of the list to enter the new Cron Jobs.
- Configure the following parameters.
- Specify Project: Specify the project to which the Cron Jobs belongs when creating a new Cron Jobs.
- Name: Set the name of the timer task.
- Trigger frequency: Support to choose single time, daily, weekly, monthly.
- When “Single” is selected, set the specific trigger time.
- When “Daily” is selected, set the specific trigger time for each day and set the valid time. The Cron Jobs takes effect within the valid time.
- When “Weekly” is selected, select the specific trigger week and trigger time, and set the valid time. The Cron Jobs takes effect within the valid time.
- When “Monthly” is selected, select the specific trigger date and time, and set the effective time. The Cron Jobs takes effect within the valid time.
- Resource type: Currently, only servers are supported.
- Operation action: Currently, it only supports power on, power off, and restart.
- Specify server: Select the server to execute the Cron Jobs. Click the input box and select the server in the pop-up dialog box. When the selection is finished, click the “Select” button.
- Click the “OK” button to create the Cron Jobs.
Associated Resources
This function is used to select the server to execute the Cron Jobs.
- On the Timed Task page, click the “Associated Resources” button on the right column of the Cron Jobs to bring up the Associated Resources dialog box.
- Click the input box, select the server in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the “Select” button when you are done.
- The selected server will be reflected in the input box, click “x” to the right of the name to deselect the server. Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Enable
This function is used to enable the “disabled” status of the Cron Jobss, the disabled status of the Cron Jobss will not take effect.
Enable
- In the Timing Task page, click the “More” button on the right side of the “Disabled” timer task, select the “Enable” menu item to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Batch Enable
- Select one or more “disabled” timer tasks in the list, click the**_“Batch Action”_** button at the top of the list, select the drop-down menu **_“Enable”_** menu item, and the operation confirmation dialog box will pop up.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Disable
This function is used to disable the “enabled” status of the timer task, the disabled status of the timer task will not take effect.
Disable
- In the Cron Jobs page, click the “More” button on the right side of the “Enabled” Cron Jobs, and select the “Disable” menu item to bring up the operation confirmation dialog.
- Click “OK” button to complete the operation.
Batch Disable
- Select one or more “Enabled” timer tasks in the list, click the**_“Batch Action”_** button at the top of the list, select the drop-down menu **_“Disable”_** menu item, and the operation confirmation dialog box will pop up.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Delete
This function is used to delete a Cron Jobs.
Delete
- On the Cron Jobs page, click the “More” button on the right side of the Cron Jobs, and select the “Delete” menu item to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Batch Delete
- Select one or more Cron Jobss in the list, click the**_“Batch Action”_** button at the top of the list, select the drop-down menu **_“Delete”_** menu item, and the operation confirmation dialog box will pop up.
- Click “OK” button to finish the operation.
View Timed Task Details
This function is used to view the detailed information of the Cron Jobss.
- In the Timed Task page, click the Timed Task Name item to enter the Timed Task Details page.
- Check the basic information: Cloud ID, ID, name, status, domain, project, enabled status, action, resource type, resource quantity, resource binding, policy details, created at, updated at, and description.
View Task History
This function is used to view the history of the Cron Jobs execution.
- In the Timed Task Details page, click the Task History tab to enter the Task History page.
- View the task ID, execution status, start time, end time, etc. When the execution of the Cron Jobs fails, you can click the “View” button on the right column to view the error log.
View the associated resources of a Cron Jobs
This function is used to view the resources associated with a Cron Jobs.
- In the details of the Cron Jobs, click the “Associated Resources” tab to enter the Associated Resources page.
- View the information of the associated resources.
Associated Resources
This function is used to select the server to execute the Cron Jobs.
- On the Associated Resources page, click the “Associated Resources” button at the top of the list to bring up the Associated Resources dialog box.
- Click the input box, select the server in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the “Select” button when you are done.
- The selected server will be reflected in the input box, click “x” to the right of the name to deselect the server.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Unbind resources
This function is used to unbind a Cron Jobs from a server.
- On the associated resource page, click the “Unbind” button in the action column on the right side of the resource to bring up the action confirmation dialog.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
View Operation Log
- On the Timed Task Details page, click the Operation Log tab to enter the Operation Log page.
- Load more logs: In the operation log page, the list shows 20 operation logs by default, if you want to view more operation logs, please click “Load more” button to get more logs.
- View Log Details: Click the “View” button on the right column of the operation log to view the log details. Copy details are supported.
- View logs of specified time period: If you want to view the operation logs of a certain time period, set the specific date in the start date and end date at the top right of the list to query the log information of the specified time period.
- Export logs: Currently, only the logs displayed on this page are supported to be exported. Click the upper-right corner of icon, set the export data column in the pop-up export data dialog, and click the “OK” button to export the logs.
