UI Policies
The UI Policies is used to define the specific content of the policy, such as setting the hidden server, system mirroring menu function and configuring the third-party callback address. After the policy configuration is completed, you also need to assign the policy to a specific project, domain or global, and the policy will appear in the policy assignment list after successful assignment. That is, the policy will take effect only in the specific application scope. When there is a conflict between policies in different application scopes, the policy with the smallest application scope takes effect.
Entry: In the cloud management platform, click the top left corner of navigation menu, and click “Settings/UI Policies/Definitions” menu item in the left menu bar that pops up to enter the UI Policies page.
Create policy
This function is used to create a new policy.
- On the UI Policies page, click the “Create” button at the top of the list to enter the new UI Policies page.
- Configure the following parameters.
- Name: The name of the custom policy.
- Policy type: Currently, you can hide the server menu, hide the system image menu, configure the server operation callback address, etc. Different policy contents are displayed according to different policies.
- When you select “Hide Server Menus”, you need to set the specific hidden server operation menu.
- When you select “Configure server operation callback address”, you need to set the third-party callback address for the specific server operation. That is, when the user performs the corresponding operation, it will jump to the third-party callback address.
- When you select “Hide Image Menus”, you need to set the specific hidden image operation menu.
- When you select “Hide Disk Menus”, you need to set the specific hidden disk operation menu.
- When you select “Hide Main Menus”, you need to set the specific hidden image operation menu.
- Click the “Create” button to complete the operation.
Config Policy
This function is used to Config the policy.
- On the UI Policies page, click the “Config” button on the right column of the policy to enter the Config UI Policy page.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
Assign UI Policy
This function is used to set the application scope of the policy.
Description
- Only one policy of the same type can exist in the same application scope.
- When different policies are applied to items under global, domain, and domain at the same time, under the item, the application scope takes effect for the policy of that item. Under other items under the domain, the policy with the application scope of that domain takes effect. Under other domains the policy with global scope will be applied.
- On the UI Policies page, click the “Assign” button on the right action column of the policy to enter the Assign UI Policy page.
- Select the application scope of the policy.
- Global: That is, the policy takes effect globally, including the administrative backend.
- Domain: that is, the policy takes effect in the specified domain or all domains, and you can set this item only when the three-level permission is turned on.
- Project: That is, the policy takes effect under the specified project or all projects.
- Click “OK” button to complete the operation.
Delete UI Policy
This function is used to delete a policy, and the assigned policy does not support deletion.
- On the UI Policies page, click the “Delete” button on the right column of the policy to bring up the operation confirmation dialog box.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
View Policy Details
This function is used to view the details of the policy.
- On the UI Policies page, click the policy name item to enter the policy details page.
- View the basic information of the policy, including Cloud ID, ID, name, policy type, UI Policies, created at, and updated at.
Manage the application scope of the policy
View the application scope of the policy
This function is used to view the application scope of a policy.
- On the Definitions page, click the Policy Name item to enter the Policy Details page.
- Click the Apply Policy tab to enter the Application Scope page.
- View the application scope of the policy.
Delete Policy Assignment
This function is used to delete the application scope of a policy, that is, to unassign the policy.
- On the Definitions page, click the Policy Name item to enter the Policy Details page. Click the Apply Policy tab to enter the Application Scope page.
- Click the “Delete” button in the action column on the right side of the policy to bring up the action confirmation dialog box.
- Click the “OK” button to complete the operation.
View Operation Log
This function is used to view the operation log of the policy.
- On the UI Policies page, click the policy name item to enter the policy details page.
- Click the Operation Log tab to enter the Operation Log page.
- Load More Logs: In the Operation Logs page, the list shows 20 operation logs by default. To view more operation logs, please click the “Load More” button to get more logs.
- View Log Details: Click the “View” button on the right column of the operation log to view the log details. Copy details are supported.
- View logs of specified time period: If you want to view the operation logs of a certain time period, set the specific date in the start date and end date at the top right of the list to query the log information of the specified time period.
- Export logs: Currently, only the logs displayed on this page are supported to be exported. Click the upper-right corner of icon, set the export data column in the pop-up export data dialog, and click the “OK” button to export the logs.
